  • Guides are currently not allowed to enter Hagia Sophia, so you'll learn about its history from your guide outside. Afterwards, you can enter with your skip-the-line ticket and audio guide.
  • The tickets allow you to skip the ticket lines for both Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern, but it’s not possible to skip the security lines. The security queue at Hagia Sophia can take up to 60 minutes during peak season, and the security check at the Basilica Cistern can take up to 30 minutes.
  • This Hagia Sophia ticket grants access to the Visitor Area and Upper Gallery, but not to the prayer area.
  • Men and women must cover their knees. If you are wearing shorts, you can purchase a body cover for 100 TL.
  • Due to maintenance work, the Basilica Cistern will be closed on July 29th, 30th, and 31st.
  • Instead of the Basilica Cistern, you will visit the Theodosius Cistern.
